As a lead iOS developer I assisted in developing a framework for the next gen iOS application, building out the application, and building Proof of Concepts related to the iOS development stream. In this position I create, and deploy, full Automated Testing tools, as well as experimenting with Automated Test suites, that can be deployed to a Continuous Integration Application (Jenkins), or run locally, for one off tests.

• Facilitated an organization wide transition to an automated test suite by creating automation tools as part of an independent run team.
• Designed and created a variety of tools to ensure server-side testing could be done with the following:
  • Jenkins Automation
  • Micro-service APIs using REST and SOAP
  • Oracle SQL database for test data storage
  • IBM WebSphere technologies

Software Developer and Automated Test Developer at Nationwide Insurance

As an Automated Test Developer I designed test cases in Cucumber, that we're executed against and iOS and Android mobile application using Calabash as the intermediary that communicated with the devices. I was expected to assure quality in the application, and seek out bugs so that they could be documented and fixed before reaching the test environments. In cases as a Software Developer, I was expected to code and fix the bugs discovered and documented by other testers, and ensure that the fixes deployed did not affect anything outside the scope of the fix.

• Designed and managed test paths using Calabash and ruby to test happy and sad paths of the application.
• Created and monitored bug fixes and code changes in the application to ensure a quality release.
